Raceway
Electrical raceways are continuous enclosed channels with a rigid structural profile and a smooth interior for routing conductors. The solid enclosure protects cables from environmental damage and accidental impact, while the compact profile carries power, data or communication lines in a single, tidy run. Internal partitions can separate power, control and data lines within one raceway.
Choose raceways where cables need physical protection and ready access: exposed runs along walls, columns and plant floors, areas with dust, dirt or the risk of accidental impact, and routes where power, data and communication lines run together.
| Specification | Range |
|---|---|
| Sheet thickness | 1.6 mm to 3.0 mm |
| Width and height | 50 mm to 1500 mm wide, 25 mm to 100 mm high |
| Standard length | 2.5 m or 3.0 m |

Raceway Covers and Accessories
Every raceway layout has its own geometry. Accessories are fabricated to your drawing, in the same material, thickness and finish as the raceway they serve.
Raceway covers
A cover completes the raceway enclosure. It keeps dust, debris and accidental contact away from the cables, adds to the physical protection of the run, and gives a neat finished line along walls and structures, while still allowing access for inspection and maintenance. Covers are made in two styles to suit how often a run needs to be opened: flat covers fixed with screws for permanent, tamper-resistant installations, and hinged covers that open along one edge, so the cables stay accessible without the cover being lifted away or lost on site. All are made in the same material, thickness and finish as the raceway, and to your drawing for length and profile.
Choose hinged covers where cables are checked or altered often, and fixed covers where the run should stay closed.
Support channels and cantilever arms
Raceway runs are carried on channels and arms fixed to walls, columns and structures. We manufacture C channels, C1 channels and strut channels, together with cantilever arms, to suit every installation, from a single wall-mounted run to a complex layout across a plant.
Choose support channels and arms made to your drawing, so each run is carried at the spacing and height your layout requires.
Junction boxes
Junction boxes give a raceway run an enclosed point for cable joints, branches and changes of direction. They protect connections from dust and accidental contact while keeping them accessible for inspection and maintenance.

Choose junction boxes made to your drawing, in the size and cable entry arrangement your layout needs, matching the raceway in material and finish.
Materials and Finishes
We manufacture raceways in-house in mild steel, pre-galvanised sheet, stainless steel or aluminium, so the material can match the project's requirements. Fabrication, hot-dip galvanising and testing are all carried out at our own manufacturing unit. Our hot-dip galvanising is to IS 4759, the Indian Standard for hot-dip zinc coatings on structural steel and allied products. Finishes include pre-galvanised, hot-dip galvanised, powder coated and painted. Standard sizes are held; special sizes and finishes are made to order.
Raceway FAQs
What is a raceway, and how is it different from a cable tray?
A raceway is an enclosed channel that fully surrounds the cables it carries, protecting them from impact and dust. A cable tray is an open support system that favours ventilation and easy cable access. The choice depends on how much physical protection and airflow the route needs.
Why is a good raceway system important?
An enclosed route that is properly sized, supported and jointed protects cables from damage, keeps power, data and communication lines organised, and makes inspection and fault tracing faster. This reduces downtime and lowers the cost of upkeep, maintenance and electrical repairs over the life of the installation.
What sizes, sheet thickness and lengths do you supply?
Raceways are made 50 mm to 1500 mm wide and 25 mm to 100 mm high, in sheet thickness of 1.6 mm to 3.0 mm, with standard lengths of 2.5 m or 3.0 m. Other sizes and specifications are made to order.
Which materials and finishes are available?
Mild steel, pre-galvanised sheet, stainless steel and aluminium, finished in pre-galvanised, hot-dip galvanised, powder coated or painted options.
Can you make raceways and accessories to our drawing?
Yes. As a manufacturer, we make all our raceways, covers, support channels, cantilever arms and junction boxes to your drawing and requirement, with fabrication, galvanising and testing done in-house.
Which accessories do you supply with raceways?
We supply covers, partitions, C channels, C1 channels, strut channels, cantilever arms and junction boxes, so one order can cover the whole run.
How do I request a quote?
